Mentors Can Change the World!

The Wake Forest School of Medicine Mentor Program matches current students with all alumni, as well as alumni with alumni, to provide meaningful mentoring relationships. Together, each mentor/mentee partnership determines the expectations and commitment for the mentoring relationship.

Simply make an account and indicate that you’re interested in being a mentor. We’ll work to match you with a compatible student or alum.

“Students would like to meet someone like them, someone who has a similar background and can share what it was like for them to go through the program.”- Courtney Brown, PhD, CRNA ’07

Here's How It Works...

Alumni Mentors

  • First step: make an account.
  • When a student or alumni mentee requests you to mentor them, you will receive an email, and at this point, you will either accept or decline the request.
  • Upon confirmation of a match, you and your mentee will connect and determine the goals of the mentorship. Please note: your contact information will remain confidential until you approve a mentee request.
  • The Alumni Relations staff members are ready to assist you—just click on the “Contact Us” option at the top of the page. Thank you for giving back in this important way!

Students and Alumni Mentees

  • First step: make an account.
  • Next, search the online database for potential alumni mentors. Once you find a match, you will contact them through the Mentor Program.
  • Once the alumni mentor confirms your request, you will receive their contact information so the two of you can connect and determine the goals of the mentorship. Throughout this process, you will receive email prompts to help guide you through the next steps.
  • The Alumni Relations staff members are ready to assist you—just click on the “Contact Us” option at the top of the page. Best wishes for a productive and successful mentorship!
